Present Continuous Tense


In this tense, we talk about an action that is happening now. Some books call this tense "Present Progressive." You will recognize grammar mechanics and sentence structure.

It is raining.  Gene Kelly tells his girl:  "The sun is shining all over the place."  Then he sings Singing in the Rain.  Look, he's dancing in the rain.  Once I had a student who said he had seen this movie 50 times!
