 Other books call them QUANTIFIERS.

All, Most, Many, Some, A few, and A couple are plural.

One is singular.

None is singular or plural.

Common Nouns: Countable or Uncountable?

Count nouns are nouns that we can count individually, one by one.  They can be singular or plural.

Noncount nouns are too difficult to count.  Examples:  liquids, hair, love.   They are singular.

Infinitives

Many words take the infinitive form.  Use an infinitive after try, need, plan, like, and love.

An infinitive is to + the simple form of the verb.

Mr. Porter will try to teach with technology.
He loves to see students learn English.
